Succulent and Moss themed shoot with Nick Kluttz
This shoot was something I had been planning for months, but it came together in surprising ways. I knew I wanted a professional styled photography shoot and my good friend Nick to model for me. When I told him my ideas for the shoot he was 100% on board. Originally, the plan was to do a pastel pink floral theme, with a floral beard. But a few days before the shoot, the plan changed. I was shopping for props with my mom and we both saw the moss bags and had an aha moment. Moss and succulents replaced the floral theme, and I am thrilled with how it came together.
The beard was my creation, and I *might* have used a glue stick and glue gun to make it work. But the hair and makeup were all Nick–he’s an aspiring hair and makeup artist with a LOT of raw talent and creativity.
If you’re thinking, “okay, but why?”. Here’s why.
This shoot was an aesthetic exploration of beauty, masculine and feminine elements, and earthy jewel tone palettes. It was just food for our souls, and we’re both happy with the results. I hope you love them too!
