This sweet couple hired me for an adoption portfolio, which is essentially a gallery that shows a glimpse into their lives as a family. Throughout the session, I focused on telling their authentic story and capturing parts of their personalities that they shared with me. It was an honor to capture these in their Charlotte, NC home as a professional photographer.
We spent time capturing their home exterior and interior, which was charming and so well styled. But what I loved most was spending time to get to know them, and capturing the relationship they have and the hope in their hearts.
They had their Christmas tree decorated with ornaments that reflected who they were individually, and I couldn’t miss the opportunity to photograph them each with their favorite ornament.

At family photo sessions we focus on fun, connection, and creating real memories rather than just simply posing and smiling for the camera. I think this adds an important dimension to the experience and to the eventual printed heirlooms to kept around the home for years and decades to come.
