If you’ve followed my work over the years you know I’m not new to photographing candles. Candles are one of my favorite kinds of product photography to capture in particular due to their handheld size, aesthetic and branding, and the endless possibilities for ingredient-inspired styling.
I’ve captured photos for Copper Cul De Sac a few years ago for a collaboration, and was honored when they reached out to hire me for a new, moodier style for their candles. I actually had some of the ingredients on hand from previous candle photography—amber, tonka beans, leather and wood.
