Portraits of Nicole | Charlotte Photographer
I love all of my clients, I really and truly do. They are vulnerable with me–a virtual stranger. And they totally trust my vision and direction for the 1 to 2 hours I shoot with them. But Nicole is particularly special because she was my last client in Colorado before officially becoming a Charlotte photographer. I shot her portraits so close to moving, in fact, that when I delivered her gallery just 4 days later I was doing it from the airport on my way to North Carolina. Aside from that, she was just a DREAM to work with. She must have packed dozens of clothing items with her, and all of it was so unique and fun. Hours flew by and we created some of my favorite images ever.
We had originally planned to shoot at an outdoor location in Cheyenne Canyon, but the rainy weather made that impossible. So with the help of the Colorado Springs Photo Betties community, I found a stunning studio to rent for the night in Old Colorado City. The stars really aligned for our session, because we hopped outside in the rain in the urban setting for the final portion of the evening. See those photos below! Something about the colorful lights, warm street lamps, and the rain really compliment her gown. I think it all came together. Comment what you think below!
