New scents to love
It was an honor to work with Annie again, this time for her fall product line. She sent me her newest scents in candles, tins and wax melts product for photography on a pure white background and styled outdoors in Charlotte, NC. I shopped around locally for the perfect vibrant fall props to pair with her products, and boy did I strike gold.
The prop hunt…
First I found the flower bouquet and metal pot at my Hobby Lobby, and I already had the basket as a gift from my mom. Out of necessity I used my favorite blanket as well, which you’ve all probably seen throughout my work before. I use that blanket exclusively for photography, and picked it out back in Colorado on a thrift hunt.
Finally, I found the most perfectly imperfect little pumpkins at Renfrow Hardware in Matthews. That was easily my favorite part of my little prop haul. I just loved how quirky and colorful they were next to the candles!
For the modeled photos, I made an appearance in the frame and had my assistant (my husband) take over the camera.

My favorite scent…
As for which scent was my favorite, it’s a toss up between Himalayan Bliss and Mystic Vibes.
Here are some of my favorites from the product photo session:
Do you own a business?
I adore the small businesses I work for, partner with, collaborate with and buy from. And I don’t stop anywhere short of making sure their brand’s voice is heard loud and clear and in high definition in any commercial photography session of mine.
If you own a small business around Charlotte (or are simply willing to ship products this way), I’d love to help tell your brand’s story with professional images. Product photos can mean all the difference in your website, social media, and marketing materials so don’t do it yourself!
