Modern Witch Halloween Shoot

The first time I called myself a ‘Witch’ was the most magical moment of my life.

For this Charlotte lifestyle photography shoot, Adrienne told me she was looking forward to a styled halloween photo shoot, but said that her model couldn’t make it. So I offered to do it instead, but realized she’d make a perfect witch model! She graciously agreed to model for me and let me in on her plans, and I’m so happy she did!

Adrienne put together the floral elements, which were nothing short of amazing. I think I’d have to spend quite a lot to find a crown like that, and she whipped it up in my kitchen like it was nothing.

For the pumpkin, I suggested we look into Wiccan symbols as opposed to a face, something to tie the shoot together. We chose the symbol for “Goddess”!

After getting the pumpkin, floral crown and candles together, we headed to her house where I did her hair and makeup. I’m really really not a makeup artist (though I’m decent at hair), and yet somehow I pulled off this smoky indigo eye look. Hats off to makeup artists who make it look easy!
