While I specialize in headshots and branding photography, I do offer coverage for a limited number of corporate events each year. I do not offer wedding coverage of any kind.

I have access to two studio locations in Charlotte/NoDa. Both locations are conveniently located within minutes of uptown, and each have unique advantages that make it a great fit for headshot clients depending on the type of images they envision. The two studio options are The Frame and The Little Villa.

I do offer professional prints through my lab partners. If your gallery store isn’t turned on already after purchasing your digital images, I’d be happy to turn on the store option for you at your request. I can also place the order for you to ensure the color settings, quality, aspect ratio/cropping, and print finish are all dialed in correctly. Prints can be shipped directly to your home.

I do offer albums and other products! I partner with a very high quality lab for my albums, and design them for you based on your unique preferences on materials, colors, and image selections. The albums I customize for my clients are of archival quality, and REALLY stand apart from consumer options. Ask about albums or any other products you're interested in for current pricing. 

At this time, I’m in the process of building out a portfolio and pricing menu for videography, but not quite seasoned enough to offer video options to new clients.

If you're planning a brand story session, I'll send a brand story questionnaire that will gather all the necessary info to make sre we're on the same page and prepared across the board for a successful session. Additionally, you may want to plan wardrobe items and/or hair and makeup before the session. I have a wardrobe guide within my blog posts, and I'll send over my hair and makeup recommendations upon request as well. Headshot sessions will receive an email with all preparation actions before the session. 

I recommend bringing a water bottle or other refreshment of your choice, chapstick, a lint roller, and something to clean any glasses with. You may also consider bringing a change of clothes or several options with you, as well as any accessories you’d like in order to switch up your look(s).

Absolutely no experience is necessary. I will direct you every step of the way, right down to your fingers and toes. 

Yes, I can recommend a location based on preferences and the side of town you’d like to stay in. If you have a specific location in mind, let me know! For Headshots, I typically shoot at the studio due to how versatile and conveniently located it is. 

The time spent on your session will depend on the type of appointment and package. Be sure to book a package that has ample time for what you need. 

Image retouching includes basic color grading and correction, as well as advanced removal of spots, stray hairs, blemishes, and distractions. For headshots, I include dodging and burning, teeth brightening, glasses glare removal, and skin smoothing as part of my process, but the sky is the limit. 

Absolutely! It’s always best to let me know in advance what you’d like done to your images. If you want a background swap, for example, I can shoot your photos in a way that will make that edit easier and with a better outcome. If you want your hair color changed, your arms slimmed, or a clothing logo hidden, I can do it. Just let me know!

No, I shoot far more images than I show in your proofing or final gallery. I may capture hundreds of images, but I’ll cull it down to the highlights so you only see the best.

I deliver images within 2 weeks of the session unless there are delays in image selection/payment.

I do shoot in raw format. That means the images are not compressed in the camera, giving me full control over their processing. Shooting in raw format means that your images have as much detail and dynamic range as possible, even though the images are large and require more storage space. I don't deliver the files in RAW format, however. 

I deliver images in JPEG format only–you will not have access to the raws as they are unedited and not representative of my professional standards. The JPEG images I deliver will be in high resolution at 100% quality, in sRGB and 300dpi. That means they’re ready for printing and can be compressed for web display. Let me know if you’d like them resized for a particular display, I’d be happy to help.

I do have a rush option for images; I can get them back to you fully edited in 24 hours of the session or selection if proofing is involved with a $50/image rush fee.

As a legal operating business in North Carolina, I have to collect sales tax on every transaction. That includes both session fees and final images. There is no way to avoid paying sales tax.

For sessions outside of the Charlotte area (ex. Raleigh, Augusta, etc.) there is a $500 travel fee to reserve the entire day for commuting to and from the session. 

I accept all major credit cards via online processing with my secure online payment option. I also accept check or cash payments for clients that I have worked with previously. 

Yes, I can offer payment plans upon request depending on the session, timing and other circumstances. If you’d like to split or delay payments, please reach out to me directly as soon as possible to discuss the details. 

For group headshots I have a session fee that applies for the entire group for a given session day. Images are purchased a la carte following the session. Check out the pricing page for the specific rates and options.

Please thoroughly review your contract in your booking documents for your full rights to the images. Depending on the type of photography you’ve hired me for, you’ll either receive a personal print release or a commercial release with a shared copyright license. In either case you will be allowed to share the images but not claim credit or edit them yourself. Do not apply filters over the images.

As the photographer of the images I retain the copyright. If the model release is agreed to for your session (included in your booking agreement), I maintain the right to share your images across my social media, website and other forms of marketing. For more information, refer to your contract and ask about any concerns. Privacy is a top concern of mine, and clients can opt out of a model release upon request before the contract is signed. 

Absolutely! It’s not a requirement of booking, but I’d be happy to meet over phone. Upon request, I have an online scheduler that makes booking a 30 minute call easy, and even sends a reminder to you beforehand.
